Sole Desire

Great selection of shoes that are both cute and comfortable! There are a few brands that didn’t really fit the theme for me, but in general think Birkenstocks, dansko, born, sorel, sofft, ecco, etc.

Shoes I can get on Amazon same price,wih free shipping without the "I don't want to be here" attitude and no eye contact And...want to try them on?.... deadpan faces. Grow the hell up.

We walked in to Sole Desire with the intention of dropping a couple hundred dollars on a pair of boots I’ve had my eye on. However, the two young sales associates behind the counter were so engrossed in their conversation they didn’t so much as glance our way much less greet us or ask if we needed assistance. After browsing for 5-10 minutes as the only two customers in the store and still no interaction we walked out. It’s a shame because they carry a wide variety of high quality footwear but after such a display of indifference, there was no way on earth we were about to given them our business.

I stumble upon Sole Desire during my trip to Newport. I always have trouble shopping for shoes and noticed they carried a lot of arch support brands in the window which is what caught my eye. Two young brunette women (I'm sorry, I didn't catch their names! I wish I had) were extremely kind, helpful, and patient. They checked on a handful of options for me and were able to stretch the shoes I chose which made them fit even more comfortably. I live in MA but I will definitely be ordering through their shop as I found out they offer shipping!

Helpful, wide selection, a bit on the expensive side but convenient for tourists.
